LWB Luton Van Tail Lift

Our Ford Transit Long Wheel Base Luton van, with tail-lift, is ideal for house moves when you need a little extra room and a helping hand with cumbersome furniture or heavy boxes.

The tail-lift allows you to shift your possessions up into the van with little strain and the long wheelbase gives you and an extra couple of feet length-wise to fit more inside.

We can offer you a competitive rate for the daily hire of our LWB Luton Vans, helping you to keep down the cost of your move as much as possible.

Please note, despite being a longer vehicle this van does not allow for extra weight and reduces the payload to 700-800 kilograms (depending vehicle model).

Collision Damage Waiver

Reduce the stress and financial worry of paying the higher insurance liability if you are involved in a collision. Our CDW cover reduces your liability if you have a collision whilst driving a hire vehicle, or damage that is caused to the vehicle whilst parked or unattended. Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) reduces the excess payable by the hirer in the event that the hired vehicle has been involved in a collision. This is a contractual waiver that must be taken at the start of the rental period rather than an insurance product. Typically, this will reduce the excess from between £1000-£1500 down to the deposit amount (£300 – £500). This depends on endorsements, driving experience, type of vehicle being hired and the intended use of the vehicle.

Our cover also removes the liability for LOU (Loss of use) following after an accident whereby you can be liable for up to two weeks LOU while the vehicle is in for repairs. CDW reduces this to zero.

The CDW option will be available during the checkout process. (If using alternative insurance for CDW a seperate admin charge of £84 applies if you require Kendall Cars to provide documentation and/or liaison with you or your insurers for your claim).

Why is it recommended?

Considerably reduces your liability if:

  • You have a collision whilst driving a vehicle you are not accustomed to.
  • Damaged caused to the vehicle whilst parked or unattended.
  • Damaged caused if the person that collides with you is uninsured or fails to stop.
CDW Exclusions
  • All Glass, (excluding windscreen) and tyre damage.
  • Damage caused above windscreen height of a commercial vehicle.
  • Damage caused to the vehicle when not on the public highway.
  • Theft of the vehicle, where the original keys cannot be returned.
  • Acts of Vandalism.
  • Malicious Acts.
  • Damage caused by the negligence of the hirer (for example, racing or driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs).
  • If the terms and conditions of the rental agreement are breached.
